High Protein Burgers

high protein vegan burgers

Ingredients:

  • 1 pack of Satvik Foods Green Moong Dhal
  • 1/2 cup cooked quinoa
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts or seeds (e.g., almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds)
  • 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • Salt to taste
  • Gluten-free bread crumbs (for coating)
  • Gluten-free burger buns
  • Burger toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, etc.)
  • Burger sauces of your choice

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Green Moong Dhal according to the instructions on the pack, reducing the water to 3 cups instead of 4.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked Green Moong Dhal, cooked quinoa, chopped nuts or seeds, nutritional yeast, minced garlic, tomato paste, and salt. Mix well until everything is thoroughly combined.
  3. Form the mixture into patties of your desired size and thickness (roughly 8 large burgers, or 16 if you would like them crispy).
  4. Roll each patty in gluten-free bread crumbs, ensuring they are coated evenly for a crunchy finish.
  5. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and lightly grease with olive oil.
  6. Cook the patties in the pan for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  7. Toast the gluten-free burger buns.
  8. Assemble your burgers with your favourite toppings.
  9. Enjoy!
